I was never the strongest or fastest rider out there, so what I lacked in strength I had to make up for in race craft. I began racing in 2008 at the age of ten and in 2016 I began coaching.  Since then I have coached and competed side by side. After the 2022 season, I retired from full-time racing and shifted my focus to coaching and so Raceworx was born. Raceworx combines personal coaching and skills coaching with a focus on the balance of real life and cycling. The Raceworx Service Corsa is born from my work as a mechanic with the Canadian National team and the desire to bring world-class service to all riders in Vancouver and beyond.

Athlete testimony

I've been working with Brendan since late May 2019. Originally I was working back into cycling as a way to treat my mental health, and was starting more or less from scratch with my fitness. Brendan took me on as an athlete who wanted to be able to compete in races in the next year, return to university with a strong coping mechanism and growing my confidence. He has expertly used a combination of personal anecdotes from his experiences as a professional cyclist and his background in coaching on the road and velodrome to help me improve. Since working with Brendan, I have lost weight, improved my confidence on and off the bike, won a cat 4 bike race and earned my upgrade to cat 3, while also outlining a training plan that allows me to ride and race while also earning my law degree in the UK. Brendan has been kind, supportive, encouraging and inspiring, and I have learned so much about cycling while working with him. I trust Brendan and his coaching vision wholeheartedly and would be happy to recommend him to anyone from athletes looking to take the next step up to those entering the sport.
